Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer that keeps our medical or dental practice running smoothly. Your energetic approach will ensure patients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. You’ll handle a variety of administrative tasks, coordinate appointments, and support clinical staff—all while maintaining a positive, professional environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care and streamline office operations in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities * Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures at the front desk * Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly * Maintain accurate electronic medical records using HEALTH QUEST * Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments efficiently * Prepare and organize patient charts, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date * Support clinical staff by managing appointment schedules and coordinating patient flow * Handle administrative duties such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies * Ensure compliance with privacy policies and confidentiality standards at all times Requirements * Proven experience as a dental receptionist or medical office assistant in a busy healthcare environment * Strong knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records (EMRs), and office procedures * Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or similar platforms * Proficiency in Epic EMR systems is highly desirable * Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally * Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting with front desk responsibilities * Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us to make a difference in patients’ lives by providing exceptional administrative support!
