About the Role The People \& Culture Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering the Foundation's day-to-day People \& Culture functions. The role ensures the consistent implementation of recruitment, onboarding, employee records, health and safety administration, benefits coordination, and HR processes while providing practical support to the ED, managers and employees. This position plays an important role in creating an organized, positive employee experience through strong systems, attention to detail, and continuous process improvement. What You'll Do Recruitment \& Onboarding * Coordinate recruitment from requisition through onboarding. * Prepare employment offers and employment documentation. * Coordinate reference checks, background screening, and onboarding activities. * Maintain recruitment records and applicant tracking. * Support managers and team leads in following recruitment and onboarding processes. Employee Lifecycle Administration * Maintain employee files and HR information systems. * Coordinate employment changes, leaves, onboarding, and offboarding. * Prepare employment documentation. * Ensure employee records are complete, accurate, and up to date. Benefits \& Payroll Coordination * Coordinate benefit enrollments and changes, and provide the necessary information to properly administer. * Liaise with Finance regarding employment changes. * Support leave and disability administration. Health, Safety \& Wellness * Coordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee administration. * Track mandatory training and certifications. * Maintain health and safety documentation. * Support incident reporting and follow-up activities. Employee \& Manager Support * Respond to routine HR inquiries. * Support people leaders and staff understand, apply and enforce HR policies and procedures. * Escalate complex employee relations matters to the Executive Director. * Coordinate learning opportunities and employee communications in collaboration with operational leaders. Minimum Qualifications \& Experience * Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. * CPHR Candidate or working toward designation is considered an asset. * 3 years of progressive HR experience. * Experience with recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employment legislation. * Experience supporting occupations health and safety administration is considered an asset. * Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Power BI, Forms, Lists etc. What Success Looks Like You'll thrive in this role if you: * Take ownership and follow through on commitments. * Build trust through professionalism, discretion, and reliability. * Enjoy creating organized, efficient systems and processes. * Look for opportunities to improve how work gets done. * Support colleagues with compassion, respect, and a service mindset while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. * Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. * Value collaboration and contribute to a psychologically safe, and trauma-informed inclusive, and respectful workplace.
