Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your expertise in medical and dental office procedures will help facilitate efficient patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities * Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing front desk operations with professionalism and enthusiasm * Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Dentrix * Verify patient insurance information, update medical records, and ensure accuracy of all documentation * Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing exceptional customer service * Manage electronic medical records with precision, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations * Assist with billing procedures, insurance claims, and payment processing to support smooth financial workflows * Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, handling patient intake forms, and managing correspondence Requirements * Proven experience as a Medical Office Assistant or Dental Receptionist in a healthcare or dental setting * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix * Prior experience working in a dental office or medical office environment is highly preferred * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy front desk setting * Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and office equipment * Demonstrated administrative experience supporting healthcare teams effectively * Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with diverse patient populations Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient care!
